My Background
I studied fashion buying and merchandising and worked for 7 years for Ireland's premier department store Brown Thomas as a buyers assistant. In my previous role I was responsible for analyzing reports on a daily,
weekly and monthly basis identifying best sellers and getting
replenishment on these lines. I was also responsible for inter
company transfers ensuring that the best selling lines were in the
correct stores thus maximizing profits and sell through. I worked with
our marketing department and brands on in store events and I ensured
that the stock arrived in store on time. I worked closely with the buyer
and the warehouse manager to ensure that deliveries were processed as
quickly as possible. I managed the delivery schedule for all brands each
season pushing deliveries to arrive as early as possible in order to
achieve the best possible sell though percentages. I worked on large
buys and traveled with the buyer when necessary.
