I was lucky enough to have the option to stay at home with my two small children when my second was born. I spent 7 wonderful and busy years at home with them, staying sharp by getting involved in the non profit sector on committees and volunteering.
When my youngest started school, a chance conversation handed me the opportunity to start my own Business, which I run to this day, doing project management, marketing and administrative projects for clients.
As with nearly every working Mum, life is a constant series of decisions about how to fit what in where, and what needs to go. I make my children a priority (no I really do) which can make a professional life tough at times.
