My Background
I'm 23 years old, originally from Napier. In 2011, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Education at Victoria University of Wellington, and am now living in Auckland with my boyfriend who is a marine engineer in the RNZNavy.
During my time studying at university I have had a number of jobs working mainly in the hospitality and customer service industries. Each job has enabled me to gain new skills, meet a range of people, and helped me avoid living on a student diet of 2 minute noodles and bread.
Growing up, my parents poured all of their time and hard work in to the family business, and I can proudly say that I have learnt my no nonsense work ethic from them. I know what it takes to make a business tick, I understand the importance of good relationships with both new and existing customers, and I know the meaning of hard work.
People Describe Me As
a great leader as well as a team player. I'm a natural problem solver and hard worker, so I always work hard as part of a team and any problems encountered I am happy to take charge to resolve as swiftly as possible. I'm a very open person, and I find it easy to communicate with others, but I also know when it is appropriate to exercise discretion.
I am also very loyal to both my friends and family, and to my employers and colleagues. I believe that loyalty, integrity and honesty are important in all aspects of life.
I Specialise In
being a people person. Every job I've ever had has involved one on one interactions with others, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Whether it be the elderly or young people, formal or informal settings, I find dealing with any sort of people, in any setting, a breeze.
I also pride myself in giving the customer what they want. We all know what it's like to be at the receiving end of great, helpful service. I always strive to give people what they want so that they receive the excellent service they deserve, because without service there is no customers, and without customers there is no business.
I Would Be Perfect For
a job working at YOUR company. I'm hard working, reliable, and you only need to show me how to do something once. I'm adaptable, easy-going, and I don't mind getting my hands dirty.
To be honest, I find it hard to describe myself in words. In truth, I've never been employed by applying with a CV - every job I've ever had has been the result of meeting face to face with a prospective employer and having an old-fashioned chat. So give me a call, we'll go have a beer and a yarn, and I'll start first thing tomorrow.
