Proven Management & Financial Accounting background for 18 years of which the last 8 have been in NZ. The first 10 have been with a global insurance giant The Old Mutual Group, South Africa’s largest corporate and top 50 companies in the world. As IT Finance Manager, I was part of a team providing financial insight (analysis & interpretation) & support to senior managers & Executive members; incl budgeting, forecasting & performance reporting. I had interaction with the rest of the business units to work key initiatives and projects, as well as drive business improvement. In NZ, managing day to day accounting function to ensure the smooth running of the office, preparation of monthly & yearly financial and management reports + KPI’s for presentation at Board Level. This involved cash flow projections, annual budgets and monthly budget variance reports, forecasting, Payroll, GST, PAYE, FBT, ACC, EoY audits, far maintenance, forex and system enhancements.
