Born and bred on the farms of South Taranaki, I hale from Nga Ruahine and Te Atiawa descent.
I schooled in Hawera, Auckland and then in Wellington where I met, and later married, my wife of 23+ years.
I joined the Navy in 1984 and have enjoyed a successful career to make the highest non-commissioned rank of Warrant Officer.
I have 3 adult children and 1 gorgeous grandaughter.
I hold an avid interest in Rugby and have held executive roles in club and representative levels.
