I have managed my own business for almost 30 years. Since selling my business I have worked with students at the Open Polytechnic, and ran my own Internet bookshop, selling New Zealand books to all parts of the world. I managed my own website. I kept up with reviews of New Zealand publications. I wrote book reviews and articles for various magazines, but in particular, for the NZ Listener.
I set up the Wellington Holocaust Research and Education Centre, where I still work part time and am responsible for research and web site development.
My recent research projects included a biography of the German Jewish refugee composer, Richard Fuchs, see http://www.richardfuchs.org.nz/archive_who.php ; a chapter on New Zealand Jewish writers for a forthcoming book; and an outline of a biography of Joel Polack, early New Zealand settler, artist, writer and trader.
My strength is thinking outside the square.
